Limitations of welding
1. It is easy to produce large welding deformation and welding residual stress, which affects the bearing capacity, processing accuracy and dimensional stability of structural parts. At the same time, due to the discontinuity of the shape of the junction between the weld and the connector, the stress discontinuity and stress concentration effect will be generated, which will have a greater impact on the fatigue strength of the member. 2. There will be a certain number of defects in the welded joint, such as cracks, non-fusion, non-penetration, slag inclusion and porosity. The existence of these defects will reduce the strength of the component, cause stress concentration, and damage the density of the weld, which is one of the main reasons for the failure of the component. 3. The joint has a large "structure and performance" non-uniformity. 4. The welding process will produce high temperature, strong light (ultraviolet) and some toxic and harmful gases, which will cause certain damage to the human body.
